Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force have conducted a special cleaning and mosquito control campaign to prevent dengue and destroy the breeding ground of mosquitoes.
On Saturday, the operation was conducted in the area adjacent to the area adjacent to the Joa Battala Fazlul Uloom Bahumukhi Madrasa and Orphanage in the area of Damodar Uniton of the upazila. The local Ansar-VDP members directly participated in the long-term waterlogging of the Samat Canal, removing the garbage and accumulated trash-garbage.
Team leader Abul Khater, party leader Parveen Begum and local Ansar-VDP volunteer members participated in this program conducted under the supervision of upazila trainer Abdullah-Al Russell.
The operation will remove the waste and garbage accumulated in the canal as well as remove the barrier to water movement, take the initiative to bring back the normal water flow of the canal and destroy the possible breeding ground of Aedes mosquitoes.
This is a discussion among the teachers and students of the same madrasa and local residents to create awareness about dengue prevention, keeping the surroundings of the educational institution clean, no water accumulation and the importance of cleaning the possible breeding ground of Aedes mosquitoes.
The raids said that it is not possible to prevent dengue only by conducting the operation; besides, the respective schools and the surrounding areas are not possible. Everyone should be aware of the poisoning of the environment and it is possible to prevent the spread of dengue through collective initiatives.
Ansar - The local residents welcomed the spontaneous and public welfare initiatives of the VDP members, they said, if such activities are conducted to ensure public health and a clean environment, awareness among the common people will increase.
The local residents have expressed the hope of continuing such activities of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces on public awareness, cleanliness and collective social initiatives to prevent dengue.
