নিজস্ব ব্যবস্থাপনায় উৎসবমুখর পরিবেশে ও সাড়ম্বরে বাংলা নববর্ষ উদযাপনে দেশের সব শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয়েছে। আজ সোমবার (৭ এপ্রিল) এই নির্দেশনা দিয়ে সব শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রধানকে চিঠি পাঠিয়েছে মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ শিক্ষা অধিদফতর (মাউশি)। চিঠিতে বলা হয়, বাংলা নববর্ষ-১৪৩২ উদযাপন উপলক্ষে শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ শিক্ষা বিভাগ থেকে ২৩ মার্চ চিঠি পাঠানো হয়েছে। এ চিঠির নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী অধিদফতরের অধীন সব শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে নিজস্ব ব্যবস্থাপনায় উৎসবমুখর পরিবেশে ও সাড়ম্বরে বাংলা নববর্ষ উদযাপনের বিষয়ে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার জন্য বলা হলো।

জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে (জাবি) ‘সেন্টার ফর এশিয়ান স্টাডিজ’ ও ‘ইনস্টিটিউট অফ ইসলামিক স্টাডিজ অ্যান্ড থিওলজি’ নামে নতুন দুটি ইনস্টিটিউট চালু করার সিদ্ধান্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উচ্চতর সিন্ডিকেট পর্ষদ।  সোমবার (১৭ মার্চ) দিবাগত রাত সাড়ে তিনটায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সিন্ডিকেট সভা শেষে উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক মোহাম্মদ কামরুল আহসান এসব তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেন। এর আগে, এদিন বেলা ১১টায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নতুন প্রশাসনিক ভবনের কাউন্সিল কক্ষে এ বিশেষ সিন্ডিকেট সভা শুরু হয়। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড মোহাম্মদ কামরুল আহসান সিন্ডিকেট সভা পরবর্তী ব্রিফিংয়ে বলেন, অনুষ্ঠিত সিন্ডিকেট সভার সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ‘সেন্টার ফর এশিয়ান স্টাডি’ ও ‘ইনস্টিটিউট অফ ইসলামিক স্টাডিজ অ্যান্ড থিওলজি’ নামে দুটি স্বতন্ত্র ইনস্টিটিউট চালুর সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে।
