The Islamic University (EB) Teachers' Association has observed a strike on three demands including the introduction of the Independent Pay Scale. The EB Teachers' Association has observed a strike on Tuesday (May 28) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (two hours) at the invitation of the Bangladesh University Teachers' Association.
The general secretary of the organization, Professor Dr. Mamunur Rahman said, on June 26, we have observed a two-hour strike on June 26. If our demands are not met, we will hold a half-day strike on June 4 at the invitation of the Public University Teachers' Federation. We hope that our demands will come to the attention of the government.
It should be noted that the other two demands are withdrawal of notification regarding discriminatory universal pension scheme and inclusion of university teachers in super grades.
