Farid Shikder (70), son of deceased Alhaj Din Mohammad Shikder, committed suicide by hanging himself around 8 am on Friday (August 29).
Locals said Farid Shikder had been suffering from mental illness for a long time and without everyone's knowledge, he hanged his neck with a tree next to Bair.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rupsa Police Station Md. Mahfuzur Rahman confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the legal system is under process.
The entire village including the family has been mourned by this untimely death.
