The husband surrendered to the police station after killing his wife due to a family dispute in Dinajpur. Police arrested.
On Friday (February 17), around 10:30 pm, when the murder was reported to the police station, according to the information given by him, the body of his wife was recovered from the wardrobe.
Earlier on Thursday (February 16), the husband strangled his wife to death.
The arrested husband's name is Manowar Hossain (33). She is the son of deceased Sheikh Abdul Aziz of Chhota Gurgola area of the city and his wife's name is Sumaiya Akhter Hasi (27) The daughter of Abdul Khalek of Collegepara area of Sujalpur Union of Birganj Upazila.
Manowar Hossain had been living in a house in Ghasipara area of the city for a long time and got married on January 20. This is said to be the second marriage of both.
According to police sources, due to family dispute, the husband strangled his wife between 3 am and 4 am on Thursday morning and then left the body inside the wardrobe of the house and left her husband Manowar Hossain Dinajpur at 10:30 pm that day. Kotwali came to the police station and surrendered after confessing to killing his wife.
Later, according to the information given by him, the police first went to the house and found the body of the wife inside the wardrobe. At night, the body was recovered and the initial post-mortem report was sent to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College morgue for post-mortem. The police said that the wife was strangled to death due to a family dispute.
Confirming the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police of Dinajpur Sadar Circle Jinnah Al Mamun said that the brother of the deceased, Isaac Ali, has filed a case as the plaintiff and legal proceedings are in the process.
