Lakshmipur ;; Laxmipur Municipal Laharkandi High School Managing Committee Elections have been completed. Polling will be held non-stop from 10 am to 4 pm in Madhya Dith Thursday, April 18.
According to the school sources, the election of the managing committee was completed through the direct suffrage of the parents, 08 candidates contested for the post of parent member, 6 of them male and 2 women candidates participated in the election. In this election, 4 men and 1 female rival have become a rival.
Alamgir Hossain Raju was also elected as a donor member through lottery.
Among them, Md. Zahirul Islam got 207 votes, Md. Kamruzzaman Kamrul got 185 votes, Md. Jasim Uddin got 171 votes, Mr. Mritunjoy Majumdar got 137 votes and reserved women member Piganur Begum was elected privately by 183 votes.
It is to be noted that the total number of voters of Laharkandi High School parents is 442 and the vote count has been 350. The counting of votes is over at 6 pm, Laxmipur Sadar Upazila Rural Officer Md. Kamrul Hasan performed the title of the presiding officer in the election.
A team of police members led by SI Md. Elitas along with Md. Riz Pattori Raju, Headmaster of the school, Md. Jahangir Alam, and SI Md. Ilytas were present.
