The new building construction work of Muhata Sri Jagannath Dev Vigraha Mandir in Rakhtpur town of Laxmipur has been inaugurated on Friday (February 17) morning by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Anjan Das.
The centenary temple is a prerequisite worship for the traditional devotees of the area, while a shopping complex is being built in front of the temple. The construction center has been taken at a cost of Rs 5 crore.
The inaugural ceremony was also attended by the municipality's Metor Gitas Uddin Rubel Bhatt, Temple Management Committee President Visheshwar Pal, General Secretary Mihir Kuri, Vice President Shudhanshu Saha, Hindu Buddhist Christians. Oikya Parishad Municipal President Uttam Rath, General Secretary Dilip Ghosh, Temple Committee Member Dolan Kumar Ghosh, Ravindra Karmakar, Prakash Saha, Sameer Ghosh, Sudev Chandra Kuri etc.
