The naval police recovered the body of a sailor named Fahim Laden (25) three days after he went missing in Rakhtpura of Narsingdi.
His body was recovered from Meghna river in Amirabad area of Nilakshya Unit of Rathpura Upazila of Narsingdi District on Wednesday (4th May) and the deceased Fahim was the son of Awlad Hossain of Abdulahchar area of Srinagar Unit of Ratpura Upazila. According to the locals, an unidentified person called Majhi Fahim on the phone on May 1 on the phone in Meghna Pa in Baghaikandi area of Srinagar.
Then he went there in the boat. Later, he got his boat and a pants to wear there but he was missing. Since then he has not been able to find him despite searching for all possible jagats and his family has been doing a simple dairy on Monday.
On Wednesday morning, after seeing an unidentified body of Meghna in the upazila Amirabad area floating, the locals informed the police and recovered the body in the afternoon after the news was reported there by relatives and relatives of Fahim.
In-charge of Mirzarchar Naval Police Department (SI) Pradyut Sarkar said that the body was recovered at the spot after the news of a dead body floating at the ghat of Jamal Member of Nilaksha, which was later identified by his relatives as Fahim.
The body was found in the head and body of several sharp weapons, which was later sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for investigation, and the next legal action was under process.
