A woman named Baby Debnath (33) was killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a CNG-powered autorickshaw in Brahmanbaji's Nabinagar.
The accident took place in the Nabinagar-Radhika Saharpa area of the upazila on Tuesday (Feb 11) at noon. The deceased Baby Debnath was the wife of Tapas Debnath of Dasani village of Bancharampur upazila.
Nabinagar police station second officer Abdul Monaf said that the CNG-powered autorickshaw was heading towards Nabinagar on Tuesday afternoon and a head-on collision with a speeding motorcycle in the Nabinagar-Radhika regional surgeon area was reportedly accelerated after the locals rescued the injured and went to the Nabinagar Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared Baby Debnath.
Three passengers, including a child, were injured, the autorickshaw and the motorcycle were seized, and the legal action will be taken.
