A businessman was killed in a pirty center on the money he owed in Bhola's charfashion.
The incident took place on Friday night in Hazariganj Unit area of Shashibhushan police station of the upazila.
No accused has been arrested so far. The deceased businessman is Abdul Malek (55) is the son of deceased Abdul Latif Majhi of Hazariganj Union.The incident has been filed by Shashibhushan police station against Ravi Alam and his mother Shanu Begum of the same area.
According to the family of the deceased Abdul Malek, the head of Hazariganj Uniton dam is in the area of Abdul Malek's grocery store, he used to buy goods from the shop, Ravi Alam, a young man from the same area, and Ravi Alam's money was deposited two thousand rupees. For some time, Ravi Alam was not paying the dues but Ravi Alam came to the market yesterday and asked Abdul Malek to pay the money.
The two men had an argument about this, and at one point, Ravi Alam started beating shopkeeper Abdul Malek, after Malek fell down after being beaten, Ravi Alam fled to the ground.
Shibhushan police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman Pattori said, initially it is believed that the shopkeeper Abdul Malek was unsanctioned and later died after the fight between the two.
The body of the deceased has been recovered and sent to Bhola morgue for postmortem. If there is a report, action will be taken later. Immediately after the incident, the accused Ravi Alam and his family members went to Palli and no one has been arrested so far, the OC said.
