The government has started selling paddy at a fair price from the farmers in Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur. The government is grossing 51 metric tons of Aman paddy from the farmers at Tk 26. The farmers of different unions of the upazila have started selling paddy.
Upazila Parishad Chairman Mejbah Uddin Ahmed Bappi and Upazila Executive Officer Imtiaz Hossain inaugurated the paddy cultivation program at the upazila food warehouse on Thursday (December 12) morning.
Upazila Parishad Vice Chancellor Omar Farooq Sagar, Women Vice Chancellor Roksana Akhter Rukshi were present at the meeting, Upazila Food Inspector Rajiv Chandra Rath, Food Inspector Saleh Uddin Bhui, Assistant Agriculture Extension Officer Nurul Huda and Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer Jamshed Alam and others.
Able to sell paddy at a fair price. Local farmers have a smile. Each card holder can sell Aman paddy for up to one ton per ton, and paddy can be sold till February 28.
