The procession taken by the Jubo Dal organized by the Jubo Dal in Lakshmipur against Ragant against BNP senior vice chairman Tarek Rahman has been hit by the police and at least 5 activists were injured.
The incident took place in Alitha Madrasa area of the city on Sunday (October 14) afternoon. Before that, the procession started from North Temuhani under the banner of the district youth party.
It is learned that a protest march was taken out by the district youth party to protest against the rar against Dalit leaders including Tariq Rahman. The procession started in Alitha Madrasa area.
District Youth Dal President Rezaul Karim Liton was present in the procession, Vice President Khaled Mohammad Ali Kiran, Organizing Secretary Saurabh Hossain Bhulu, Sadar (West) Upazila Youth Dal President Milan Mahmud, former student leader Shamchul Ahsan Mamun and Jutall etc.
Meanwhile, a separate protest march was taken out from South Temuhani in the same city under the leadership of District Jubo Dal General Secretary Said Rashidul Hasan Lincoln, which was attended by former General Secretary of District Youth Dal Saiful Islam Shahin and President of Laxmipur Municipal Youth Dal Abdul Alim Humatun and others.
