BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the Chief Adviser assured us that they are arranging the elections very quickly and said that they are working to arrange the elections by December.

Earlier, a delegation of three members of BNP entered the Yamuna and sat in a meeting around 6 pm. On behalf of the BNP, the party's general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed and Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed attended the meeting and the meeting lasted for more than an hour.
In the meeting with the chief advisor, BNP has been concerned about the recent events, Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘We have done our duty as a larger party. The government cannot do this because the government has not done so in front of the various forces of the government. Overall, the law and order situation of the country has been greatly endangered and fascism has been given an opportunity to talk again because of these processes.’
We have urged the interim government to hold elections quickly He said, ‘I have said that the minimum reforms are made to hold quick elections. I have said that those who are friends of fascism in the administration, who have harmed Bangladesh, will be brought under the law and removed from the post of administration. Also, I have demanded that those who have looted the country's economy be brought back to the country and punished.’
‘For the past 15 years, fascism cases have been filed against our leaders and workers, they have agreed with us in principle. We said that one of the main failures of the government is that the government has told us that they are working on this.’
Regarding Operation Devil Hunt, BNP Secretary General said, ‘We have told the head of government that such an operation has been done before. There is no repeat of such incidents. In no way should any innocent people suffer from the victim. There should be no problem in this regard.’
Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘We will not agree to the local elections before the national elections. We have said very clearly before that there will be no elections before the national elections.’
In response to the question of when will the rosmap be announced, he said, ‘They (the government) will give it. They will go to say something by the 15th.’
