The 12th National Assembly elections are knocking at the door. Ahead of the election (Gazipur-3) parliamentary seat, special extended meeting of Awami League is being held in every union of the upazila to make the Awami League stronger and well-organized.
A special extended meeting of Gosinga Union Awami League was held on Wednesday (May 31st) at 11 am in continuation of Tari.
Sreepur Upazila Awami League President Humayun Kabir Himu was present as the chief guest, General Secretary Harun Or Rashid Farid was present as a special speaker.
The chief guest Himu told this reporter on the phone - this special extended meeting is with the aim of reviewing the activities of the United Awami League, organizing the leaders and workers at the grassroots level in front of the national elections and bringing momentum to the organizational activities at the field level.
Union Awami League President Amirul Haque Sarkar Ripon presided over the direction of General Secretary Saidur Rahman Shahin Moral - Former Chairman Noor Mohammad Fakir, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Mahtab Uddin, Upazila Awami League Leader Farooq Mridha, Delwar Hossain Dulu, Moniruzzaman Monir, Upazila Olamalig President Hafez Hafez. Umar Farooq, No. 3 and 3rd Member Tajuddin, No. 2 and 2nd Member Farooq Pradhan, former AGS Alauddin Bachchu of Sreepur University College, Union Awami League leader Tanveer Ahmed.
The speakers emphasized on meeting the yard meetings in each ward, increasing mass involvement at the grassroots level and presenting the development of the current government to the general voters.
A large number of leaders and activists of the Union Awami League were also present in the special extended meeting.
