Farmers are interested in wheat cultivation in Lakshmipur. Laxmipur Char area is suitable for wheat cultivation. Last year, wheat cultivation has been done on a lot of land this year. Farmers are enthusiastic about the cultivation of wheat in heat tolerant and salty land.

The government's incentive program has been given 1000 farmers in Lakshmipur this year and 1000 kg of wheat seeds and 10 kg of MOP Sir Deota have been cultivated in the current season in Ramgati Upazila Digant Joa field. District Extension Department has been cultivating wheat in 800 acres of land in Laxmipur.

In this region, the farmers have benefited by cultivating 2 improved varieties of wheat, but they have benefited by cultivating two varieties of wheat that are tolerant of heat and drought.

A number of wheat farmers said that the wheat yield is very good this year. The market price of wheat is also good. If the weather is favorable, we expect to produce 40-50 maunds of wheat per acre.

In the future, it will be possible to supply wheat in the region to meet the demand of the district in the production of wheat in this region. This will also reduce the dependence on importing wheat from abroad.

Dr. Zakir Hossain, Deputy Director of District Agriculture Extension Department, said, "We have been looking for heat tolerance or heat tolerance wheat varieties for a long time. In this case, our Bari Gham-32,30 is good for this region. But Bari Gham-30 is very good for the region but next year we will expand Bari Gham-32.
