The Padma Bridge started on Sunday (June 26) from the early hours of the morning. 51,316 vehicles were plying on the first day.
The toll was released from 6 am on Sunday to 6 am on Monday, Bangladesh Bridge Authority (Basek) said.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Padma Bridge last Saturday (June 25) and she crossed the bridge in Toll Dittool and the bridge was opened from 6 am on Sunday for normal vehicles.
