Kusti Representative: One person was killed on suspicion of thief in Kustitar Mirpur.
Another person who confessed to the lynching was admitted to the Upazila Health Complex, who was killed by Nishan (40) of the district of Sadar Upazila and the injured Janal (35) was the son of deceased Abdul Hamid of the same neighborhood.
The incident took place in Chunitapaja village of Baruipai Unit of the upazila on Monday (January 31) morning.
According to the police and local sources, a thief gang had been trying to steal a van in that village in the early hours of the morning. Later, when the local people chased the gang, they tried to go to the village. In this way, the villagers arrested 2 thieves and beat them up. Later, the local people rescued them and declared them dead in the upazila health complex.
