On Wednesday, the historic 7th March, the ruling Aomi League has organized a nationwide program to mark the day, and on that day, a large public meeting was organized at Sohraradi Udyan in Dhaka.
The public meeting will start at 2 pm, which will be chaired by Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On March 7, 1971, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave a historic speech at Sohraradi Udyan (then Race Course Matadan) during the final phase of Bangladesh's freedom struggle.
In October last year, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Bangabandhu's March 7 speech was recognized by the World Heritage.
In this context, Awami League is giving great importance to the public meeting on the occasion of March 7 this year ahead of the national elections.
The party has planned to bring a large gathering of people, and the people concerned know that they have prepared accordingly.
At the beginning of the public meeting, the national and Dalit flags will be hoisted at Bangabandhu Bhavan and Dalit Karal at 6 am Dhanmondi at 6 am.
Aomi League will pay tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait at 32 am Dhanmondi at 32 am and similar programs will be held across the country.
