On the 16 days of this month (February), expatriates sent 114 crore dollars to the country, according to the latest report of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (February 18).
This remittance sent by expatriates through legal channels and banking channels is 12 thousand 650 crores as 110 taka per dollar.
Among the remittances sent, the highest 95.65 million dollars came through private banks, and 138.8 million dollars through state-owned banks, 5 crore 25 million US dollars through a special bank and 25 million US dollars through foreign banks.
In January this year, in the country Remittances came to 210 million US dollars.
It should be noted that in January 2023, remittances came to 195 crore 88 million dollars, in February 156 million dollars, in February 202 crores, 168 crores in April, 169 crores in May, 220 crores in June, 197 crores in August, 159 crore 94 lakhs in August, 133 crores in October, 197 crores in November and 199 crores in 2022-23. The total remittances came in 2,161 million US dollars, and the total remittances in the previous fiscal year 2021-2022 were 2,103,170,000 USD.
