5 chairman, 5 vice chairman and 3 women vice chairman candidates for the post of Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Parishad elections.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) and Returning Officer Padmasan Singh officially allotted symbols among 13 candidates in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner at around 11 o'clock on Monday (May 13).
In the election, Sadar Upazila Chandraganj Thana Aomi League President Abul Kashem Chowdhury - Pineapple Prateek, District Jubo League former President and current Cheterman AKM Salah Uddin Tipu-Kup Perich Pratik, current Vice Cheterman and former Jubo League leader Rahmat Ulya Biplab-Ghosa Pratik, Md. Abul Kashem - Dutat pen symbol and Md. Nizam Uddin - got the motorcycle symbol.
Former Vice Chairman Md. as Vice Cheterman. Hafiz Ulya- Mike Pratik, former Labor League leader Mamunur Rashid- Uzojahaj Prateek, District Labor League Aghar Yusuf Pataari-Book Prateek, Md. Isatin Arafat-Tala Pratik and Md. Masudur Rahman - Got the glasses symbol.
Former female vice chairman Farida Itasmin Lika-football symbol, current female vice chairman Kazi Khaleda Akhtar- duck symbol and Selina Khanam- Padmaful symbol for the post of female vice chairman.
Sadar Upazila Election Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Atiqul Islam Chowdhury said that the total number of voters in Sadar Upazila is 6 lakh 19 thousand 645. Among them, 2 lakh 98 thousand 237 female voters, 3 lakh 21 thousand 403 male voters and 5 voters of the third gender.
The 3rd phase election of the 6th Upazila Parishad will be held on May 29.
