Ex-husband Khokon Ali Sheikh killed ex-wife Shawar Banu in Laxmipur city due to family dispute and extravagance.
The incident took place around 9 am on Sunday morning and the body of the deceased was recovered by the police around 11 am.
Later, the police arrested the murderer ex-husband Khokon Ali Sheikh, who was a resident of Gobindganj in the deceased city of Banu Panchag and the arrested Khokon Ali Boguar is a resident of Saritakandi.
On receiving the news of the incident, Superintendent of Police Dr. AHM Kamruzzaman visited the spot.
The police and locals came to Lakshmipur in Fakir Ali and city Banu Palit from Boguja Saritakandi 20 days ago. They are two brothers and sisters.
Laxmipur Superintendent of Police Dr. AHM Kamruzzaman said, "It is a planned murder but the murder was caused by family disputes and extramarital affairs. The body of the deceased has been recovered and sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for investigation. The murderer's ex-husband Khokon Ali Sheikh has been arrested and the case is being prepared.
Besides, the police are also looking for the current husband Fakir Ali, the younger brother of the murderer Khokon Ali.
