Students of a private educational institution in Lakshmipur have been introduced to 70 different fruits during the summer.
The summer fruit festival organized in that institution is associated with the students' fruit.
On Saturday (June 11), ‘13 students in the initiative of Laxmipur Holy Girls School’ celebrated the fruit festival.
In the afternoon, Lakshmipur Municipality's Memor Mozammel Hadar Masum Bhui cut the ribbon and inaugurated the summer fruit festival.
In that festival, 70 species of native fruits including mango, jam, jackfruit, litchi, banana, chalta, kamaranga, olive, mandal, papaya, palm, coconut are available in the place.
The 2019 students said that the current students have seen various fruits, the names are not known, so every year since 2019, they have organized this festival to get their name with them every year.
When asked, the head of the school, Rezaul Karim Suman, said that if a student of the village educational institution is asked, he can tell the names of different native fruits and if he sees, he can tell which fruit. But a student of the city is not familiar with so many fruits. So for the past few years we have been celebrating summer fruits every year, to meet the students for the fruits.
