A man named Zulfikar Ali Mamun (45) was killed for his wife's extramarital affair with his son-in-law, this incident, the court has given his son-in-law Rakib Hossain (23) and wife Shahinur Begum (36) life imprisonment. At the same time, they each have a fine of 20 thousand taka, and they will be sentenced to one more year in non-record.
On Wednesday (November 22) at noon, the judge of the district and Datra Judge Court. Rahibul Islam gave the verdict and two were present in the court, which was ordered to be sent to jail by the court.
The victim Zulfikar is the son of deceased Safi Ulya Patawari of Birahimpur village of Bashikpur Union of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila, who was a betel seller in Dhaka city.
Dhivet wife of convict Shahinur's victim Zulfikar Ali and son-in-law of Habibullah Chowdhury of Rajibpur village of Rakib Hossain Municipality No. 13 of the municipality and son-in-law of the victim. The two together killed Zulfikar by strangling him late on October 9, 2022.
The court said that the person was incapable of being in the house. 2-3 days before the incident, Zulfikar Bhaja Basa came to see his wife Shahinur and son-in-law Rakib in an offensive situation.
On October 22, the victim's mother Fatema Begum (53) filed a murder case in Sadar Thana. The case is made two to three unknown accused including daughter-in-law Shahinur and foreign lover Rakib and Shah Ahmed as an accomplice.
The murder case was investigated by the Deputy Inspector (SI) of Laxmipur Sadar Police Station. Belat Ulyah, who accused Shahinur and Rakib, filed an investigation report in the court on November 30. He appealed to accused No. 3 of the case to be acquitted Shah Ahmed.
After taking the evidence of the case, the court gave this verdict.
