On the occasion of Jatipur Palli Unanon Day-2026 in Ratapur of Lakshmipur, discussion meeting, prize distribution, loan and distribution of fruit, forest and medicinal plant seedlings were held.
On Monday (July 6), the upazila administration and related departments organized the event in the upazila parishad hall, which was attended by Laxmipur-2 Constituency Member of Parliament Md. Abul Khat's Bhui Is was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mehedi Hasan Kaushar.
In the president's speech, UNO Mehedi Hasan Kaushar said, after a long time, the government has realized the need to reopen the national rural development day. On the occasion of the day, a loan of Tk 38 lakh was distributed in Rakhpur, the life picture of rural Bengal with the participation of children and teenagers was distributed and fruit, forest and medicine plant seedlings were distributed.
He also said that the current government's five-year plantation program will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the farmers as well as the environment. He also commented that providing training and loan support to marginal farmers through the Rural Development Board is strengthening the rural economy.
Ratpur Upazila BNP President Nazmul Islam Mithu, Rachapur Municipal BNP President ABM Jirani and Municipal BNP General Secretary Nazrul Islam Liton were present as special guests in the event.
