The incident of murder and rape of a housewife (24) in Ratapur of Lakshmipur. A person named Sohag Hossain (27) has been arrested by the police.
On Saturday morning, he was arrested from Chouddagram in Comilla along with the mobile phone used by the housewife. Another associate of his name Rafiq is still absconding, after his arrest, Sohag gave a confessional statement about the murder and rape of Laxmipur Judicial Magistrate Kamal Hossain in the court.
This information was confirmed by Raatpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shipon Jawagur Sohag Hossain, son of Abdur Rashid of Kashinagar village of Chauddagram upazila of Comilla.
Earlier last Thursday (August 18) around 4 pm, the body of the woman was found in the Charpaloan area of Rakhtpur Unit of the upazila and the body of the woman was found in the matrimonial report.
In this case, Ratpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shipon Baja said that the housewife left Bai on August 16 due to love with the accused Sohag Hossain. Sohag was enthralled by Rafiq's uncle Rafiq's uncle.
He was then killed by suffocation, while the other accused Rafiq is currently absconding.
