The police have recovered the hanging body of a housewife named Afsana Akhter Beauty (22) in Rakhtpur upazila of Laxmipur. The family claims that her husband was killed by strangulation without getting dowry.
The body of the housewife was recovered from the 4th floor of a house in New Bazar area of Raatpur town on Tuesday afternoon.

The mother of the deceased, Kohinoor Begum, said that since the past, the husband said. Al-Amin has been torturing the housewife in various ways for dowry money. She was tortured by not being able to pay the demanded dowry. She alleged that she was unable to pay money on the day of the incident.
Ratpur police station officer-in-charge AKM Azizul Haque said that it is not possible to confirm whether it was murder or suicide. The body was recovered and sent to Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital morgue for maternity investigation. The case is being prepared for the case.
