The much-discussed Fulgazi Upazila Cheeturman and Upazila Aomi League president Ekramul Haque Ekram's murder case has been acquitted by the court ordering the execution of 39 people.

On May 20, 2014, Ekramul Haque Ekram was killed in front of the now defunct luxury cinema hall in Feni Sadar's Academy area.
In this incident, Ekram's brother Rezaul Haque Jasim filed the case accusing 56 people in Feni Model Police Station.
