On this occasion, the historic 7th March was celebrated in Rakhtpur, Laxmipur with due dignity. On this occasion, wreaths were presented at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, discussions, painting competitions and cultural events.
On Tuesday (March 7) morning at 9 o'clock in the upazila parishad office, the upazila chairman Mamunur Rashid, the upazila freedom fighter unit including the executive officer Anjan Das, and various organizations of the Awatami League including the upazila, Chhatra League, Jubo League, and other organizations of the upazila administration conference were held in the upazila administration conference room.
Upazila Executive Officer Anjan Das presided over the chief guest speech by Upazila Cheterman Principal Mamunur Rashid Assistant Commissioner (Land) Russell Iqbal, Secondary Miksha Officer Saiful Haque, ICT Officer Subhrajit Rath etc. After the interesting cultural program, prizes were distributed among the winners.
