A dacoit named Ruhul Amin (35) was killed in a mass beaten in Charmohana Union in Raipur Upazila of Laxmipur.
He died while undergoing treatment at Laxmipur Sadar Hospital on Friday morning, the son of Ershad Howladar of Charlakshi village of the deceased Ruhul Amin upazila, who has 3 robbery cases against him in the police station last month, he came out of jail on 3 cases and got out of jail.
Sharif Hossain, an injured mail trader at the police and hospital, said that late on Thursday night, a group of robbers broke the door of his house and attacked him. The housekeepers started shouting and then the robbers beat him and injured him and ran away with 2 lakh cash and some gold ornaments. After that, the robbers came forward and handed him over to the police with serious injuries.
Raipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Lokman Hossain said that the body of the dacoit Ruhul Amin, who was killed in the lynching, has been taken to the Sadar Hospital morgue and a case is being filed in this incident.
