Abu Taher, Ramganj Representative: The mobile court has fined the owner of 3 brick kilns in Ramganj of Laxmipur 7 lakh taka.
From Thursday (February 8) morning, three brick kilns have been raided in different areas of Notagaon and Bholakot Union of the upazila.
On the instructions of Ramganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mocha Sharmin Islam, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land and Executive Magistrate Russell Iqbal conducted the operation. Among the fined brick kilns, M/s Morshed Bricks was fined Tk 2 lakh, Messrs. Rabeta Bricks 3 lakh and Bholakot Unit JBM Bricks.
Executive Magistrate Russell Iqbal, who conducted the operation, said that 3 brick kilns have been fined Tk 7 lakh in the operation. Also, the permission of the Department of Environment, permission from the Department of Environment, for the use of the license, for the use of the topsoll of the crop land and the permission of the District Commissioner will not be taken against these brick kilns.
