Bangladesh in South Asia imposes the lowest tariff on US exports, saying that we continue to impose zero tariffs on American agricultural products, while also working to reduce the tariff 50% on top US exports (such as gas turbines, semiconductors, medical equipment).
The letter also said that various non-tariff barriers imposed on US exports such as packaging, labeling, certification are being simplified, and there is also a system to simplify customs processes and standards.
Stating that the steps needed to launch Starlink in Bangladesh, he said that it will usher in a new era for US businesses, especially in the civil aviation and defense sectors.
Finally, it is requested to adjourn the tariff system imposed on the export of Bangladeshi products to the United States for three months.
Earlier, Trump imposed new tariffs on the products of different countries, which many countries have called a trade war, which has increased the tariffs on Bangladeshi products to 37 percent, and till now the country had an average of 15 percent on Bangladeshi goods.
