The newly elected Member of Parliament of Khulna-4 Constituency Azizul Bari Helal said that the current government has taken strong steps to prevent drugs, terrorism and corruption.Strict legal action will be taken against those who want to destabilize the country by creating terrorism, land grabbing, extortion and anarchy.
He said that the government is implementing all kinds of effective measures to ensure that the people of the country can live happily, prosperous and safe. Pointing out that they are trying to create chaos, he said, these evil activities will be suppressed with a strict hand.
Regarding drugs, he said, "Zero tolerance policy has been adopted against drug trade in Khulna-4 seat. There can be no drug trade or terrorist group. There will be action against those who are involved in such misdeeds or those who are involved in the abuse."
Addressing the government officials, he said, "All steps will be implemented step by step to make the work of the Republic fair, corruption-free and people-friendly." He urged everyone to come forward in the country's infrastructural development regardless of party affiliation.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the monthly law and order committee meeting organized by Rupsa upazila administration on Thursday (February 26).
Earlier, he inaugurated the tree planting program organized by the upazila administration and interacted with the officials of various departments at the office of the upazila executive officer. Later, Khulna district administration participated in the Iftar and Dota Mahfil.
The meeting was presided over by Rupsa Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sanjida Rikata. The meeting was attended by officials of various departments, public representatives, political leaders, journalists and civil society.
