Bangladesh has maintained the next 10 years in fish production in the past 7 years, and in the past 7 years, employment opportunities have been created in the fisheries sector and 30 percent of the income generation has been created. 60 percent of the animal meat needs are being met and the fisheries sector is currently playing an important role in earning foreign exchange. The slogan of this year is ”Safe Fish Bharbo, Bangabandhu's Bangladesh”.
On the occasion of the celebration of Jati Fish Week, the District Fisheries Department has taken various programs for seven days.
