The ruthless businessmen of Lakshmipur city have protested by closing their shops on allegations of harassment against VAT officials.
On December 19 (Monday) around 3 pm, the district customs and VAT officials opened the cashiers and the businessmen were forced to go to the business of the businessmen.

Local businessmen said that for some reason, suddenly the VAT officials entered the shop in the name of raid in their company. Businessman Mohammad Bablu said, I was not in the shop, VAT officials entered my company and asked the employees to wait a little but they misbehaved with the accounts of my shop accounts and misbehaving with the employees.
New Laxmipur Purdhya Gallery Prepror Mohammad Hasan said, VAT officials entered my company and misbehaved with the employees.
Abul Kalam Azad, general secretary of Laxmipur Merchants Association, said that the businessmen were angry and closed their shops in the name of the protest. Hope the problem will be solved.
In this regard, Lakshmipur Divisional Customs Excise and VAT Office Officer-in-Charge JM Shoutib Rumi said, we have taken account book, cash memo and order copy from some business organizations, but no one has been misbehaved with anyone.
