Dhaka Metropolitan Gotenda Police (DB) Joint Commissioner Mahbub Alam told BanglaNews that a defamation case in Rangpur has been arrested against Barrister Mainul Hossain. After that, he was taken to the DB office at Minto Road, and he will be handed over to the Dhaka Metropolitan Chief Magistrate's case on Tuesday (October 23).
When asked about interrogation, he said, "We have only arrested. If the court allows, the DB will interrogate the DB."
Earlier at 9:50 PM, Asam Rob's personal assistant Saiful told Banglanews that four men of Gondenda Police (DB) and two policemen were staying in front of Rob's house. Before that, Moinul Hossain entered Rob's house.
On the night of October 16, a private television channel's talk show, after Barrister Moinul Hossain made a ‘characterless’ comment to journalist Masuda Bhatti, there was a discussion on social media.
Masuda Bhatti filed a defamation case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court on Sunday against Barrister Moinul, another case in Jamalpur Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court, although Barrister Moinul took bail from the High Court in two cases.
However, the trial court issued several cases against him in Rangpur, Brahmanbaji, Comilla, Bhola and Kuigram.
