Gazipur Representative:
A teenager named Nayan Mia (17) of Samad drum truck crossing the road in Sreepur area of Gazipur has died.
The accident took place in front of the tea shop of MC Bazar area of Dhaka Mymensingh highway at around 10 am on Thursday morning.
The deceased Nayan Mia, son of Md. Kamal Khan of Baisharpa village of Sadar police station in Sunamganj district, came to visit his sister's house in M.C. Bazar area.
Citing the relatives of the deceased, Sub-Inspector of Mauna Highway Police Station SI Anisur Rahman said that Muktar Hossain Mauna, the brother-in-law of the deceased youth, used to work in a garment factory from the house of Uttarpara Arif Khan and brought Nayan here two days ago to change his house.
On Thursday morning, he took the furniture and left for Dhaka in a pickup. When he crossed the Nayan road, he was hit by a drum truck at Dhaka Metro T-15-6980. He died on the spot, and the body of the deceased was recovered and the drum truck was seized and brought to the police station.
