The Women and Child Abuse Amendment Act was passed for 7 years due to the temptation of marriage, the law was passed by the advisory council on Thursday (March 20) at the Foreign Service Academy, the press secretary Shafiqul Alam said this information.
He said the amendment to the Act was discussed in the Advisory Council for hours and a new definition of Balatkar was also being discussed on how to speed up the DNA test.
He added that it will be in the case of women and children abuses but it will be in a separate section.The Legal Adviser will give more details on this matter.
He also said that a holiday has been declared in three hill districts on Chaitra Sankranti.
