The proposed budget session of the current fiscal year 2023-24 in the National Parliament has been adjourned till June 4.
On Thursday (June 1) night, the speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury announced the adjournment of the budget session.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal started presenting the budget of Tk 7 lakh 61 thousand 785 crore for the next financial year 2023-24 at 3 pm on this day.
This is the fifth and final budget session after the third government of the Awami League government's third term, which will be held on June 4 at 5 pm and the adjourned budget session will be held.
According to the data, the budget for the fiscal year 2023-24 will be passed on June 26. Before that, the financial bill for the fiscal year 25 will be passed on June 25. The budget will be effective from July 1.
