The District Detective (DB) Police has arrested 4 members of the trafficking gang including the alleged tax of crores of rupees in Faridpur.
On Tuesday (January 24) around 10 am, District Govtenda Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mamunur confirmed the truth of Rashid. Earlier on Monday (January 23) around 11 am, the four people were arrested along with Takshak from a yard in Alipur area of the city.
The arrested are Al Mamun Matubbar (40), son of A: Rashid Matubbar (40) of Mirakanda Gangadardi area of Bhanga Upazila of Faridpur, Motitar Rahman (45), son of Abdur Razzak of Dharmadi village of the same upazila, Tajita Akhtar (42) wife of Abdur Rab Sharif of Madhya Alipur area of Faridpur district town and Nasir Uddin (40) son of Azizul Haque of East Abdalpur area of Kushtia district.
District intelligence police officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Mamunur Rashid said, based on secret information, a team of DB police raided the area and arrested four members of the trafficking gang including Takshak and the two were 15 inches long.
He added that the alleged tax is worth crores of rupees but there is no specific information available, but the legal system is under process.
