The much-desired dream Padma Bridge will be inaugurated on June 25. The rural electricity authorities have provided electricity connection to light the bridge.
The experimental lighting will be lit from June 1.
Md Zulfikar Rahman, General Manager of Sharatpur Palli Vidyut Samiti confirmed this information on Wednesday (May 25) afternoon.
He said that the work of providing electricity connection to pole number 46 at Naodoba end of Jazira Upazila of Shariotpur in the presence of bridge authorities at around 8 pm on Tuesday, May 24. On June 1, the bridge authority will lightly light the light on the lamp post of Padma Bridge.
It is reported that a total of 415 lamp posts have been installed on the Padma Bridge, 328 lampposts have been installed on the main bridge, 46 on the main bridge (Vaduct) and 41 lampposts on the Maota end.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 6.15 km long bridge in her own funding in December 2015. After the construction work, this dream bridge will be opened for traffic on June 25.
