On February 17, 2022, Netrakona District Commissioner and District Magistrate Mr. Kazi Md. Abdur Rahman Kenduta Upazila inaugurated the memorial of the slaughterhouse of the Great Liberation War “Chiranjeev”.
Kenduta Municipal Metro, Upazila Chairman, Upazila Executive Officer, Assistant Commissioner (Land), brave freedom fighters and dignitaries were present.
On August 31, 1971, the Pakistani invader forces brutally killed 4 great intellectuals at this place in Dhopagati of Kenduta upazila. The district administration built this intellectual memorial in memory of the martyrs of the great liberation war.
The local freedom fighter Haripad Sarkar was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Mahod Memorandum “Chiranjeev”.
Also, the District Commissioner presented the brave freedom fighter Haripad Sarkar 15,000 rupees, winter clothes blankets and dry food.
