A Chhatra League leader named Sajjad Hossain Sajib has been killed in UP election in Ramganj UP elections in Laxmipur's Ramganj. He died in an ambulance.
The deceased is the president of the newly formed committee of Ichapur Union of Sajib Upazila. On Sunday, he was in the polling station on behalf of boat candidate Shahinur Akhtar, after the abolition of the former committee on November 15, a new committee was formed with him as its president.
Upazila Chhatra League President Kamrul Hasan Fatsal Mal and Vice President Mehdi Hasan Manju confirmed the death of the leader.
According to Dalit and local sources, the workers of the boat candidate were violent with the people of the rebel candidate Amir Hossain Khan (Pineapple) outside the Natanpur Government Primary School center in Uniiton at around 3 pm. Sajjad was seriously injured by a sharp weapon. He was rescued and was being taken to Dhaka. He died on the way.
Rebel candidate Amir Hossain was expelled from the Upazila Aomi League's expelled vice-president.
Hasan Manju, a resident of the area of the deceased Sajjad and vice-president of Upazila Chhatra League, said that polling was going on properly. The people of the rebel candidate suddenly attacked us. In this incident, the injured Chhatra League leader Sajjad has died, we somehow survived.
