Mobile Court has been run for the purpose of preserving Jatka under Hilsa Resource Development and Management Project in Narsingdi.
Today Wednesday (March 30) from 9 am to 2:30 pm in the Meghna river of Narsingdi, the operation of this mobile court was conducted under the leadership of Executive Magistrate Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Maa Aminul Islam.
Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Sinister Fisheries Officer Md. Asaduzzaman Asad told Palli News that 10,000 meters of current nets were seized due to illegal fishing using current nets and also a person was arrested and fined five hundred taka for using current nets.
The seized current nets were destroyed in the fire. Later in the afternoon, a public awareness meeting was held in Karimpur market of Narsingdi at 3 pm.
A team of Naval Police led by Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Fisheries Extension Officer Md Aktaruzzaman, Assistant Fisheries Officer Dipali Dey, Md. Rafiqul Islam, said the operation will continue, said the mobile court.
