Narsingdi District Police has started using the “body orn” camera of the police traffic department and police station members working at Narsingdi district police station. Narsingdi District Superintendent of Police Kazi Ashraful Azim (PPM) inaugurated this program by installing a ‘body orn” camera on the body of policemen in Velanagar Jail Khana.
Senior officials of the district police were present. On the opening day, 7 police stations and 8 ‘body orn’ cameras have been provided in the traffic department in the 1st phase and 8 ‘body orn’ cameras will be played in the opening day. This “body orn” camera will play a special role in making it easier for the policemen to monitor the activities of the policemen in the field through the 'body orn' camera.
The police said that this initiative is to bring transparency and accountability in the work of the police. Where is a policeman at the moment? What kind of duty are you doing? It will be monitored from the central control room through the “body orn” camera. The use of the “body orn” camera will speed up the work of the police and the quality of service will be increased.
The Superintendent of Police said that “body orn” cameras will be provided in all the units of Narsingdi district.
