Barguna District Representative:
The three sisters were on hunger strike in front of the Barguna District Commissioner's office to demand the return of the father's house and land.
The three sisters who are on hunger strike are Ruby Akhtar (27), Jasmine Akhtar (18) and Mosa: Rozina (16). They are the deceased Abdul Rashid of Golaghata village in Bamnar district.
The father-sister Ruby Akhter said that father Abdur Rashid died in 2003. Ruby's father died only 7 years. After a year, Ruby moved to Chittagong with his neighbor and accompanying aunt Hasina Begum in 2004.
Under the supervision of that aunt, he started working as a garment factory worker in 2013 in the 8th class. The garment factory works for the support of the mother and two younger sisters who are in Bai. In early 2014, they came to Chittagong and worked as an assistant in the covered van.
But at the end of that year The accident was the death of brother Al-Amin, three years later, Ruby's mother Khadija Begum also died in 2017. The two sisters who were in Bai went to a relative in the area due to security reasons. Maj sister Jasmine has now been admitted to SSC candidate, Ruzina 10th.
In 2019, Ruby returned to the area and came to Bai.
In Bait, he saw that their ancestral property was occupied by influential neighbors Abdul Mannan, Ashraf Ali and Shahjahan, Samsuzzamangong, who were occupied.
Ruby said, "In 2019, when I wanted to get the land back in Bai, they said that they bought our land at an auction. Later, I came to the upazila land office and found out that there was no auction of the land.
Even if my father has land, now he is a foreigner in his own land. We are helpless and want to return the land of three sisters.
When contacted about land and settlement encroachment, Abdul Mannan said, "We have the documents and we have documents and they do not have any land.
At three o'clock in the afternoon Superintendent of Police Muhammad Jahangir Mallick bought lunch and broke the hunger strike of the three sisters, he assured the three sisters that if the land is theirs, they will take whatever assistance they need to bring back. On the assurance of the Superintendent of Police, the three sisters broke their hunger strike by taking food.
Barguna Superintendent of Police Muhammad Jahangir Mallik said, I will visit the ground in the afternoon and take action after seeing the documents.
Although an attempt was made to contact in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Habibur Rahman's statement was not available.
