The Ministry of Liberation War has published the list of names of martyrs in the July mass uprising in the form of gazette.
Although the date of publication of the gazette was written on Wednesday (January 15), it came to light on Thursday (January 16). The gazette signed by Haridas Thakur, Deputy Secretary of the Liberation War Affairs Ministry, has included the medical case ID, name, father's name, current address, status address.
According to the official gazette, 834 people were martyred in the July-August 2024 anti-discrimination movement.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs is going to conduct the ‘Director of the July Mass Uprising’ to compensate the martyrs and the injured. 834 people were killed and 15,000 students were injured in the coup. Basically, the new directorate will work to preserve the memory of this mass uprising and compensate the injured and dead.
The Ministry of Health formed a committee to prepare a list of the dead and injured on August 15 after the ouster of the Awami League government. Later, on December 21, a special cell related to the mass uprising of the interim government published a special cell related to the mass uprising of the interim government. The first gazette was published by the names of the martyrs.
