Separate protests were held in Ramgati and Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur to demand the national recognition of the National Flag Hoisting Day.
On Thursday (March 2) evening, a protest march was held at Hazirhat Bazar under the initiative of Kamalnagar Upazila Youth Parishad. After the procession, a discussion meeting was held at Hazirhat Hamedita Fazil Degree Madrasa Milna.
Upazila Jati Youth Council convener Mahmudur Rahman Belal spoke under the chairmanship of Joint Convener Shibbir Deoan. Sabur Khan and member Abdul Bachet Khokon etc. are moderated by Upazila Joint Convener Ehsan Riz.
Meanwhile, Ramgati Upazila JSD has held a protest march and rally in Alexander Bazar at the same time. After the procession, the rally was held under the chairmanship of Ramgati Municipal General Secretary Shahadat Hossain.
The speakers said that on March 2, 1971, the Battala of Dhaka University, ignoring the bloodshed of Pakistan, ignored the bloodshed of Pakistan, and the brave son of Sam Abdul Rab hoisted the first flag of independence, demanded the recognition of the state as a flag hoisting day.
