Faridpur District Representative
The upazila administration has arrested three people who were consuming drugs in the anti-narcotics operation in Charbhadrasan of Faridpur. Later, each of them was sentenced to one month's imprisonment without labor and fined 100 taka.
On Wednesday (September 16) from evening to 10 pm, the operation was conducted in Mathabhanga and Maulvirchar areas of the upazila.
At one point in the operation, three people were arrested from the field of Maulvirchar High School, who was consuming drugs. Later, according to Section 36(5) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, each of them was sentenced to one month without labor and fined 100 rupees.
Charbhadrasan Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Md. Julhas Hossain Sourav conducted the operation.
According to upazila administration sources, anti-narcotics campaign and mobile court activities will continue in different areas of the upazila.
