Reporters Unity Gabindganj Upazila Branch Gobindganj Upazila Branch Gaibandha District Representative Dipti Chief President and Upazila Representative of Matribhumi Khabar Atitar Rahman was elected General Secretary.
The Biennial General Meeting of Gobindganj Upazila Branch of Reporters Unity Gaibandha was held on Thursday afternoon at West Charmatha area of Gobindganj Municipality.
The meeting was presided over by the DIPT chief and moderated by Atitar Rahman, the former organizing secretary of Dhaka Reporters Unity, Dainik Samter Alor, at the beginning of the meeting. Sinitare Reporter Late Habibur Rahman Habib is prayed for.
Abul Kalam Azad, editor and publisher of weekly night news newspaper, Abul Kalam Azad, president of Gobindganj Press Club Khokon Ahmed, Vice President of Press Club Sinister Rafiqul Islam Rafiq, Upazila Repistant Rabiul Kabir Manu of Daily Bhorer Darpan, Publisher and Editor of Weekly Khola Hawtarul Islam, Mohana TV Upazila Rep.
The meeting was unanimously elected Gaibandha district representative of Bij TV, Atitar Rahman, the head president of Dipti and the upazila representative of Matribhumi Khabar, Atitar Rahman was elected general secretary.
Other officials of the 11-member committee are Vice President Rashed Khan Moon (Surya Alo) and Moshiur Rahman (Delta Times), Joint General Secretary Hafizar Rahman (Bhorer Chetna), Organizing Secretary Md. Al Imran Hasib (Ekusher Bani), Office Secretary Mahmud Hasan Naim (Challen S), Treasurer Md. Shahidul Islam Khokon (Independent News), Publicity Secretary Mahasin Hasan Milon (Crime Voice) and Executive Member Md. Babul Islam (weekly night and day news) and Rabbi Sheikh (Dak to Rangpur).
