The ‘Charity Fund KU’ started the journey of the students of Khulna University's (Khubi) student director's office and the 2016-17 academic year (17 batch) students. In the future, the fund will be supported by the three sectors of the treatment of serious diseases, free loans and stipends.
Today Sunday (May 19) at 2:30 PM, the students of the 17th batch of the university, Professor Dr. The fund started its official journey by handing over 5 lakh 60 thousand rupees to Mahmud Hossain, according to the office of the student affairs director's office, when the students of 17 batch are education. At the end of the final ceremony, they thought that the surplus money was used to do something useful to the students. After that, the initial discussion of the fund formation started in the 17th batch. From that discussion, the charity fund of the university was formed and they were the first to give a grant there. Many more batches have already expressed interest in donating here.
During the transfer of money, the Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Mahmud Hossain said it is a unique initiative, he urged everyone to come forward to increase the scope of this fund in the long run and gave various advices including collaboration with various institutions including banks, the university student director Professor Md. Sharif Hasan Limon said, Khulna University students are always with something good and they have proved it again and again. Their initiative for optimum use of the surplus money of the closing ceremony is rare in the culture of the university in Bangladesh, and 17 batches have served as pioneers in such initiatives, I believe that their good work will inspire others in the future.
